Congress is Taking Action

Congress is Taking Action

On December 16, Congress voted to award $28 million to national literacy organizations and libraries through a competitive grant process. This critical action will help restore funds for books and literacy resources for children in need nationwide. Guidelines for the competition will be established by the U.S. Department of Education; a timeline for the competition is not known at this time. THANK YOU to everyone who sent messages to Congress. Your voice was heard!
