Celebrating RIF's 45th Anniversary!

November 3, 2011--RIF celebrated our 45th anniversary at the Library of Congress, Young Readers Center in Washington, D.C. Children were treated to a reading of Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse and a live play featuring characters from the book.

A big 'Thank You' to the National Zoo and Zookeepers Dan and Ric (and Cricket the Toucan) for a great reading of the book The Bossy Gallito by Lucía González and illustrated by Lulu Delacre. American Indian Alaska Native Heritage Month - RIF LIVE Event

Thanks to all of those who joined us for the first-ever RIF LIVE event! Our celebration of American Indian Alaska Native Heritage Month was held at Emery Education Campus in Washington, D.C., on November 9, 2010. A special thanks goes out to American Indian Tomas “Eagle Bear” Shash and his family for sharing their culture with RIF kids from the nearly 160 schools across the country watching the live feed on RIF.org.
